Hi all,
I am currently running a motorcycle engine (so N is a half shift between 1 and 2) with pneumatic shifting. I understand that Syvecs supports half shifts to and from N if a clutch switch is depressed and the gear position reads either 1, N or 2. However, my engine does not have a dedicated gear position sensor; I will be using wheel speed and gear ratios to calculate it within Syvecs.
My worry is that if the driver has the physical clutch depressed then the ECU will not know the gear position and thus won't half shift to N. Does the gear position default to N if the wheels are not spinning (if clutch is depressed while in gear), and with my current configuration is there a way to successfully half shift? Thanks.
