Hi

Post by secure »

Just wanted to say hi before asking all my stupid questions =) Pat sent his first ecu that arrived here very quickly and now S6PnP is sitting next to me. I can see comm jack and unsure what it is.. Ethernet jack which is ok, t/c jack ok, 6 pin wideband jack, and unidentified 12 pin jack(inputs?).. In opposite to this there is the oem type connectors which has 64 pins if i count them right.

So my first question how do you start to count the pins to understand which pin is which number. I dont even know where to hook cal switch and iat =) I dont want to ask all of my question in one thread and not to scare anyone :geek:

I've downloaded the s6 pinout diagram and I can see the i/o configuration settings in the software so I believe this would be more clear when I connected to the ecu and go online.

Anyway,
HI!

Hi,

The Outputs on the back of the PnP are as follows:

RJ25 socket for CAN/RS232
RJ45 socket for LAN
Thermocouple socket
6 pin connector for wideband
12 pin auxiliary connector for future expansion.

The Pinout diagram on here is for the S6GP only, not the Plug and play. The plug and play pins will be the same as the OEM ecu in terms of layout.

I'm not sure what year PnP Pat sent out to you, but I'm sure we can dig out a Pin out for you.

Regards,

Charlie

I give it try today. It works like charm. I just swapped the cam/crank sensor from the software. First impression is very good! I'm gonna install some sensors on Monday and start tuning!

Now I'm just trying to make excel sheet i/o configuration. Solaris seems flexy software so I could dig the pins out myself. Just attached it here for whom may ask in the future. It is MY97-98 (Sti models needs pin swap) I need to know the pins order right now. For instance Cam sensor seems on the CTL35 AN1 5v Bipolar input but I'm not sure which is pin is 35 on the connector side. Need to learn the counting

Thanks
