Fuel pressure Trip

Post by Ma143AM »

Good day all,

Can someone help please. I have been having some issues with my GRT35 Fuel pressure.

Previously: Car would not go past 4-5kRPM unless I go real gentle with the throttle. took a log and Fuel pump was faulty.

current status: I changed both fuel pumps (like for like, 485 Walbro). Currently it is better in terms of not cutting at previous RPM. Howeverm the car reaches around 7.5-8k RPM and tripps. logs attached and suggest FP trip.

logs are attached if someone can advise on what to check now !

Thanx all!

You need to log more suitable information, relFp, fuel pressure trip thresholds etc. Also without a Cal, cannot see any timings and setup that will force that limp mode.

If your fuel pressure sensor etc is calibrated correctly, then it seems very odd. Running only around lowish 2's bar base pressure is very low.

Although boost does appear to be mostly rising roughly 1:1 with boost.

At the trip, FP has dropped a little, system voltage appears stable.. I would log FP a lot faster though. 5Hz is pretty slow.

So whilst FP is dropping a little, there are things to investigate, especially the low FP reading. As to whether a momentary small drop in FP is enough to justify a trip, that's up to your tuner to decide for your individual setup, after all data and base setup are deemed correct.
Although as your injector duties also appear to be at 100%....you also have other things to address too.
