Hi,
I saw the thread about Windows 7 working, when SCal is put in Compatibility Mode, but trying this on my new Windows 7 64bit machine I cannot get a connection to the ECU.
I've tried various compatibilty modes including XP SP2 & XP SP3, Vista, Vista SP2 & Vista SP3
SNetServer will run in some fo the compatibility modes, but no network adaptors are ever found.
I am using the software downloaded from this forum.
Any ideas Pat?

Re: Windows 7 64bit
The recommended solution for the moment is to install Windows XP 32 bit and run the software on that. On my own laptop I am running Ubuntu Linux in 64 bit mode on a Core i7 CPU but get the required XP 32 bit environment courtesy of Sun VirtualBox, which is a free download from here. It is available for many hosts, and does include USB support and accelerated OpenGL from the guest OS.
Hope this helps,
Pat.

A big thank you to Wez:)
All working and connecting fine using XP via Virtual Box on a Win 7 64bit OS.
I'll leave Wez to explain any technical bits!

Re: Windows 7 64bit
Indeed it does, worked a treat with WinXP SP2 installed into a small virtual machine. Only thing required is the network has to be set to bridged not NAT under network options on the virtual machine.
I also installed the VirtualBox support pack
