i had my car mapped the a few weeks ago, and did 380hp on a poorly turbo, i changed it expecting to see the same power and better spool, but spools there but not the power, its noting machinical, the boost is there right to 7.7krpm, what could be the issue, but it was mapped on my old syvecs which had a canbus issue ryan changed it for me for a newer version and updated firmware... i heard a whisper it could be a knock sensor issue on the new version?
thanks in advance

low on power
Re: low on power
Do you have an S8? No.
Do you know what the actual facts are regarding the loss of knock on the latest beta S8 firmware are? No.
There are NO knock sensor issues on the S6, and there are no knock sensor issues on the S8, but there is an issue on the (beta) S8 firmware where a particular sequence of events in Scal can cause the knock inputs to be dropped from the I/O config upon programming.
"It's nothing mechanical" Well I've heard that before once or twice!
Does the car actually feel slower?
Did the damage to the turbo act like a turbine clip (remember those??) and increase power at the expense of spool?
What boost is there to 7700rpm? Is it too much and actually hurting power?
So many possibilities!

Re: low on power
as i said it was what i over heard so dont shoot the muppet!
but the hot side had colapsed - the bridge between the two scrolls leading to the hotside wheel, blocking half of the route in to the impellor but not only that its had a large crack venting gasses out so pretty knackerd,
yes the excessive boost could be an issue as before it was tailing off at the top end now its just flat lines at 1.7 bar ish, but will find out next week as i had an issue connecting it to a laptop on the byno so that was same map but different turbo checked a week apart :S
oh and that be a no - but now googling it
thanks
