and the bigger problem, do i use the original ignitor box or does the syvecs take care of it?

If you look in Ryan's manual....

"The ignition channels are logic level outputs designed to control ignition coils via an additional igniter
(Power transistor). These as standard output a 5V Signal but can be raised to 12v with a Jumper change
on board. Speak to Syvecs more about this directly if required"

If the 12v output is used it is still LOW CURRENT and cannot drive a coil, but some CDI units of old need a 12v trigger to work effectively so the function does have it's uses.

I would assume 5v will be fine. But the ignition output will go to the ignition amp, not the coil. I've yet to find an application myself that the normal 5v doesn't work on.

is there a downloadable map just to start the car and to get it to tick over as i will no doubt have a few water/oil leaks to sort out and it will need a oil change before any thought of tuning and MOTing it? i need to get her warm.

That will depend on your wiring loom!

The calibration will need to be matched to suit the wiring, and then the sensors calibrated to some degree and then one can take a stab at a map that will get the thing running, but really you need at very least a lambda sensor on it.

Your best bet at this point is to get a tuner to come to you that can very quickly get you up and running.
