cal switching

Post by gsr-dev »

The problem I am having is that I cannot seem to get the calibration switch to switch from cal 1 to cal 2.

The car is a Subaru Impreza Turbo My99-00 with the Solaris Syvecs S6 PnP.
I have setup the calibration switch as follows:

IO configuration/Pin Assignments

Inputs : Calibration Switch AN8(5V/TH) : CTL-42 (AU4- Spare (Test Mode, pin B22 on the grey plug) (According to the technical forums this is AU4 please confirm)
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=105
Sensors/ Calibration Switch / Positions used
Cal 2

I have also set the Threshold voltages and added the fuel cal2 and ignition timing cal 2 as per cal attached.

I am unable to identify the exact pin & wire colour combination to attach our external switch to.Not sure if pins provided in forum is valid?? :?
Can someone please provide step by step instructions on how to wire & calibrate an external switch to enable cal switching?

Assuming you have the Syvecs cal switch with red/white/black wires, then...
red wire to 5v regulated
black to analogue gound
The pin you've used is in the same group as one of my cal switches(an7), so should work unless the pnp version is different.

After you've connected it up, power the ecu up and connect to it with scal and monitor the input voltage on that input and note the voltage at the different switch positions, then pick a voltage between each of these as your threshold. Then monitor the cal position attribute and it should change as you switch positions.
