Howdy Sam,
Where did you get that black wire covering that can be seen on the sensor wiring on the first post?

Re: Solaris-ecs controlled Lotus Europa wins
We've now entered this car into the Silverstone round of the GT cup, more details here http://www.hofmannsofhenley.co.uk/sports.asp
I had a chance to do some fast testing laps in the car at Snetterton last week with the car on the GT cup Pirelli slicks, new unrestricted ride heights and the motor at a lot more power (below) .... it's turning into a very fast little car.
The GT cup is covered on Motors TV (sky channel-413) so you can watch out for us.

Re: Solaris-ecs controlled Lotus Europa wins
We had a very successful first outing at the GT Cup,
Qualifying in the wet conditions was poor for us as we struggled with a very compromised tyre set-up ending up 12th on the grid.
Race one however was fantastic as the track had dried and we were back to our known set-up, starting from 12th position Chris set about picking off the mega money GT cars one by one until when the checkered flag eventually fell we were up to 2nd position and chasing down the 8ltr Dodge Viper hard
Race two in the afternoon didn't quite go to plan as we had seemingly put some noses out of joint in the morning meaning that we got clobbered with a 40kg weight penalty. This tips us over the edge on our already marginal cooling capacity and we had to retire the car after lap-8 when ECT, ACT and engine oil temp all reached near critical levels.
Overall though we're extremely happy to see that our little car in a tentative beta spec appears to be more than capable of running at GT1 pace, it goes to show that with some will and some clever engineering a team running on a £50k budget can show up the £1million teams.

Re: Solaris-ecs controlled Lotus Europa wins
I'm not sure you'll need them to be honest, once your inside the circuit you should be free to wonder about, although the pit lane and pit wall is teams only.
The GT Cup is only part of whats on, the full time table is here https://tickets.motorsportvision.co.uk/ ... stival.pdf should be a good day out.... and we'll try to put on a good show, our pit is the garage closest to the briefing rooms and the little coffee place.
Which would you rather drive around Brandshatch Indy? - Dodge Viper, Porsche 997 GT3-RSR, Morgan Aero 8, BMW M3 GTR or a nimble little Lotus

Re: Solaris-ecs controlled Lotus Europa wins
Lotus or Porsche for me, I was lucky enough to get a passenger ride round Brands in a GT3 earlier in the year, very nice indeed.
Will try and pop down on Sunday.
