Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Would be useful to migrate the S8 gear cut enable as a function of TPS down to the S6, please

Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
It's already there.
Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Not in V1.40 on an S6...not that I can see?
Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Then you're not looking in the right place!
Gear Shift->Manual Shift Inputs->Throttle-Selected Cut or Blip Enabled
Gear Shift->Manual Shift Inputs->Throttle-Selected Cut or Blip Threshold
Gear Shift->Manual Shift Inputs->Throttle-Selected Cut or Blip Enabled
Gear Shift->Manual Shift Inputs->Throttle-Selected Cut or Blip Threshold
Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Ah - OK thanks. Seems to be in a different place to the S8 so I missed it.
Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
In the same place on the latest S8 firmware under manual shift inputs.
Are you sure you've been looking at the same thing?

Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Probably not Paul lol. In 1.396 (the latest I happen to have) under gear cut there's a "Cut enable Throttle Position". What does that do, compared to the other?
Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Ah I see what you mean.
That is something completely different, that just enables the cut or not depending on TPS, so that if you back of the throttle it will not cut at low load, so no that is not something that's in the S6 just at the moment, but if you're trying to do flat shift, setting the minimum RPM to around 6000rpm should do the trick.
The other settings are to allow both blip and cut to trigger by the same input on an H-pattern box or via a clutch switch. An h pattern dog box can still use a strain gauge gear knob to cut and blip depending on whether TPS is high or low.
What are you trying to do that you can't at the moment?

Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Thanks Paul.
I simply want to disable gear cut unless my foot is pretty much flat to the floor - with it set to to be enabled just against rpm there are a few occasions on the road where gear cut kicks in when you don't want it to causing a soggy pickup after the gearchange. So just "tweaking" really.

Re: Gear cut as a function of TPS on S6
Well if you use the blip/cut threshold it will try and blip instead, and then you can just disable blip in every gear or set the blip amount/time accordingly. This should get you sorted.
