From a discussion on another thread, is inputting gear ratios in RPM/KPH not an overly complicated solution to a simple requirement?
Would it not be easier and more accurate to be able to input teeth numbers so the ecu does the calculations for you? Change a diff or a drop gear and change one figure in the ecu rather than recalculate everything.

its far easier as it is

I used to teach this theory to apprentices and I tell you none of them had any idea of power flow's! and what they did to pass a test was soon forgotten

The setup on the ecu is incredibly simple......does everyone know the exact number of teeth for every gear, final drive etc in their gearbox ?
And after you've given the ecu tyre sizes, sensor/trigger wheel arrangements....the ecu does the calculations for you for "drive ratio" for the gear input values.
No real effort is required from the user.

I must like complication...I thought working out the gear ratios was easy enough..
So the bit I didn't understand then, is once Tyre Circumference, Number of Teeth and Number of Teeth per input are set, I log Driveratio and use the figures logged in each gear to fill in the Gear Positon/Drive Ratio table? Or am I still missing something?

Either log drive ratio or view it and yes, enter the data.
Obviously the speed related setup needs to be correct in order for the displayed drive ratios to be correct. ie. you need a correct speed reading.
