Knock Warning Output Behaviour?

Hi,

I have a LED indicator which is grounded by the knock warning out put, I'd like to know what condition is needed to be met in order for it to flash, and to remain illuminated until ECU reboot.

Logic would suggest to me that it's something along the lines of, it flashes if any knock is detected/ignition pulled; and stays latched on if when the amount of retard defined in 'Sensors - Knock Warning light - Ignition Retard Threshold for Knock Warning Output' is met/exceeded.

Is that right?

Cheers,
Jezz.

interesting.. I have seen it flash but not stay on.. I thought it just flashed if ignition retard exceeded the "Ignition Retard Threshold for Knock Warning Output" which I have set to 1degree at the moment.

When I first posted I was running 1.6.1, I've migrated to 1.9.1 and it's not done it since.
Whether it's coincidence or not I'm unsure. :?
But yes you'd expect it to illuminate once the timing had been pulled by the threshold, then go out again once cleared.

If I see it again, I'll report back.

Cheers,
Jezz.
