flex fuel sensor wiring

HI
Could you please advise me on the flex fuel wiring.
I have the following;-
black
orange
purple

That'll be one of our cables I imagine - normally send out a datasheet/guide with all sensors but if is a JTi cable then:
black = 0V
orange = 12V
purple = signal

Just to confirm the orange wire, does it have to be 12v or can I use a 5v output the same as the pressure sensors?
