What values should be - Generic of Crank Teeth - Number of Crank Teeth - for evo9? Evo stock trigger 4-1. Values - 3 - not setup.

It is not possible to run the 4G63 engine on the stock trigger wheel using the generic patterns because that wheel does not have any unique features in the pattern - that is to say that it doesn't have any missing or additional teeth that we can "key" off. In order to run the engine you'll need to use the MITSUBISHI EVO pattern option under Engine Configuration -> Crank and Cam Type. You will also need to set the Signal Trigger Edge for the Crank sensor to BOTH, and you should set the Cam (Phase) sensor to FALLING edge trigger. That should ensure the correct sequencing of edges and correcty pattern detection. If you want a better pattern then there are some after market 18-1 wheels out there that will allow the use of the generic patterns in the ECU and it will be possible to key off the crank such a wheel.

Hope this helps,

Pat.
