A/C input

My Subaru S6 PnP, by default, takes the air con control in. I've had a quick look through SCal and can only see it used to increase idle rpm. Is it used for anything else that I've missed?
If not, I may well re-use the input for other things.

increase idle, increase base duty, and turn on the A/C compressor output after it's raised the idle.
However, you will need to bridge the pressure switch if you want to use the actual A/C switch as a useful input.

Thanks Paul. My Cal has no "adders" set for A/C, but fair point about the A/C output control as I missed the obvious (no change there then lol).
I can see that the A/C output has off/on engine speeds and throttle positions, which makes sense as I know my A/C turns off when driving hard...so will ponder whether to simply drive the pressure switch via a relay and decide myself when to turn the A/C off or maybe just use an engine-speed output function to "gate" the relay to give some degree of automation.

What are you trying to do? The nitrous strategy can do a lot.

Just free up an input - only one that seems a good candidate is the A/C input.
Taken a quick look at the NO stuff and can see that has all the control I should need....just a question of whether A/C control really needs to be smart or if simple on/off will suffice?

SO you don't have a spare ignition output that you can hook up to a regular ignition amp to turn it into a high level output?

Sorry you said input!

Lol, yes Paul, trying to free up an input
Is it worth trying to semi-automate the A/C control using the NOS strategy, in your opinion, or shall I just bridge the input to the AC pressure switch and be done with it?

You could grind off a tooth from your cams and use your AVCS sensors to get 720 sync like a hawkeye, although the earlier sensors don't put much voltage out at cranking speed, although you could also change the sensor if you're keen.
Have you ditched your cal input yet?

grinding teeth of cams is a bit excessive for A/C lol.
Perhaps you've muddled replies to 2 different threads
If the CAL input question is aimed at me then no, not yet. I have implemented CAL up/down, but the S6 complains about the other missing M4 packets and I am awaiting guidance from Syvecs/LR on how best to deal with this without (further?) upsetting the vehicle and/or S*
