S6GP connection to AIM Pista display/logger?

Hi!
AIM display documentation tells us that connection to Pista display is via RS-232 bus. It also tells us that Life F88 connection is via CAN bus. Setups are quite similar and main difference is what is selected as datastream.
In Syvecs setup selected stream should be "STACK", in Life F88 setup selected stream should be "CAN CUSTOM" or "LIFE RACING CAN". To me it seems that Syvecs "CAN CUSTOM" is about the same as Life "CAN CUSTOM". Basic idea is to use only CAN communication between units. Wiring loom is already done so adding two wires is a pain. Also I want to be prepare for the future, eg. PDU and similar options and add-ons so re-locating can wires is not ok. There is also some other mistakes in AIM documentation about connector pin amount and so on. Am I missing something or is it possible to go with Life setup instructions?
