I removed a full engine and ecu loom for a gp ecu from a version 7 and its been fitted into a version 2, pin6 sensor ground was connected to the dash clocks, is this a trigger earth? and were could I find one or connect too on the v2?

I have removed a full engine and ecu loom from a version 7 Subaru and putting it in a version 2 classic impreza, pin 6 (sensor ground) was connected to the dash clocks, would this be a trigger earth? and does anybody know where I could take it from on a classic?
