Re: Bosch 2-wire TBV settings

Can you say more about the diode? Why does it need that to work? Thanks.

Bosch 2-wire TBV settings

I'm running the 2-wire Bosch throttle bypass valve (0 280 140 516) with my S8/F88 ECU. The example calibration comes with some default settings (in parentheses), I'd like to know what you all use for: PWM Drive frequency: (20Hz) Minimum Duty: (10%) Maximum Duty: (90%) Unfortunately engine is not com...

S8/F88 H-Bridge as Lambda Htr control

Hello, all. I'm about out of outputs, with 16 Injectors/8 ignition coils. Is it acceptable to use one of the H-bridge outputs to control the lambda heater circuit (Blue wire on NTK L2H2)? Second question, the pinout shows pins 75 & 76 for the Lambda ion pump. Is there any config necessary in SCa...

Re: Analog sensor Ref voltage

ttt Ryan or Pat, Does the internal value of VREF impact the sensor linearization tables? I'm measuring more than 5v on the reference pin, so should I make the linearization match that value at max? Or am I overthinking this? I have GM sensor linearization curves, trying to convert to Syvecs/LR table...

Re: Analog inputs filtering routine

Appreciate the response, Ryan. Related question - is it acceptable to provide 12v to the cam sensor via the ECU (pin 56 or 57)? Makes the loom tidier. In fact, I'd like to power both the Cam sensor and IACV (Bosch 2-wire) from the same pin. It doesn't appear that these two should draw many amps. Tha...

Re: Analog inputs filtering routine

As a follow-up to this, I've got my crank sensor (VR) assigned to AN#09, pin 39. Cam sensor (HE) assigned to AN#11, pin 38. The S8 wiring guide has these on pin 41 (AN#08), and pin 42 (AN#06). Is my setup acceptable, or is there something unique about the filtering which would mean I should choose t...

Re: Fuel temperature from flex fuel sensor

TimH wrote:No, the ECUs don't have support for fuel temp. I asked ages ago.

Also, not all flex fuel sensors measure temperature.
The Life F88 has a Fuel Correction Multiplier table for Fuel Temp. I figured the Syvecs line would have the same?

Analog inputs filtering routine

I read somewhere that the filtering was different ("better") on AN #9-#16 inputs. Can anybody confirm this or explain the difference?

And, I have the filter set to zero for both cam and crank position inputs. I assume this is the preferred configuration?

Re: Analog sensor Ref voltage

I measured at the AN Ref pin on my Life F88, and got 5.28 ish. I realize there may be some voltage drop after that due to the harness, etc. Thought maybe the guys from Syvecs could tell us exactly what the regulator is set to provide for AN Ref.

Analog sensor Ref voltage

Is the Syvecs/Life Reference voltage output regulated to exactly 5v, or is it 5.1+ like on some GM ECU's? Doing some math on sensor linearizations and this is a variable.
Thanks,
