wiring in pressure sensor for logging purpose
As my boost is dropping at higher revs and I cannot clearly figure out why, I want to install an additional pressure sensor that tells me the correct pressure rates. So I can see the pressure: A) before the intercooler core B) backpressure of the exhaust emissions in the exhaust C) backpressure of t...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Hey, thank you all!!!! I now put in a circuit Heinz suggested and I now have close to 4000rpm in idle ;) but at least I have some reaction and I am pretty sure, the rest can be sorted out with adjusting the signal pulses coming from the S6 cheers to you all and toshmed... unfortunately I don't know ...

ipad syvecs app software for windows?
Hey, As I am putting a windows pc into my car right now and am connecting it to my S6 via ethernet cable, I was wondering, if you plan to make a software similar to the ipad and android app in combination with the bluetooth module? Originally I wanted to use SMon and choose the desired gauges, but i...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Ok, thanks. I can try this. As long as you are completely sure it does no harm to anything. The thing I am wondering is, how this is supposed to work as the S6 pulls to Ground at fuel outputs and this is, according to the wiring diagram, exactly what my tacho needs. Wiring in a pull-up with +12V sho...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
ah ok, I think now I have got it. I connect 12v into my existing S6-tacho line with a 1k resistor in? So that the 12V-pullup line and the S6-output both go together into the tacho? so it is the green line you want me to add? http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk290/timtaylor_photos/test_zpse91ee0d9....

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Yes, the 47k resistor is a series resistor that limits the current. I'm not quite sure, I have fully understood you. You mean I should leave the S6 - tacho connection as it is now and I shall add a pull-up resistor in the 12V feed-line leading to the tacho from the car. So not putting the pull up in...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Well usually there is a 47k resistor in the tacho that needs to be replaced. Some say completely and some say, only change it to a 10k resistor. I've tried both with zero effect :( Here is the picture of the resistor that needs to be replaced. http://turbospool.com/files/projects/EMS/NEMESIS/IGNITIO...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Oh well, this Tacho thing is driving me crazy. I have no clue why it isn't reading anything. I've connected pin 69 which should be Fuel5, right? Pin69 leads straight into the Tacho Input (Pin3, plug B on the instrument cluster as shown below) http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk290/timtaylor_photos...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Hey Everyone
could I use "FUEL 05 : CTL-070" which should be pin 69 as well to get a proper signal to my revmeter?
Or has it stricktly to be a PWM signal?
Thank you very much for your brilliant support. Can't wait for the Android version of the bluetooth module to be ready
