Brake Switch

Wiring Brake Switch to an input for DCCD operation. Am I OK to show the ECU 12V on one of the 5V inputs ?

Whilst it is not a perfect solution, applying 12V to an input should be fine, there are current limiting resistors and clamping diodes that will prevent any damage to either the connected device or the ECU. You should ideally use an input that does NOT have a pull up resistor, so use an AV or AB input if you want to connect something that you know will overdrive the input....
