i appoligise looking for help on myfirst post but as i say i have big fear of computers/ecus ect and wondering have i done something wrong but its weird i could take a log earlier and now and i cant connect to ecu as its saying none detected.

Hi!

Try restarting your computer.
Also check network and sharing center / adapter settings / local area connection is enabled.
You may mistakenly disable it by touching keyboard shortcut keys

Beware of Windoze hibernation / suspension... it will royally mess up the Ethernet driver to the point that the PC needs rebooting to fix it. Unfortunately, being a system function, we can't veto the hibernation / suspension or at least pop up a window to say "you should close down the apps before you hibernate / suspend". So Windoze just screws itself up. Moral of the story.... quit the apps if leaving the lappy in a state where it might hibernate or suspend.

Cheers,

Pat.
