Can someone give me a short brief about gear cut/blip/shift?

I asked about this a while back, but still haven't had a reply. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=119

I've only messed about with gear cut - I've got a car with h-pattern dox box and use a switch on the stick for ign cut when going up through the gears.

I've not got the cal file here at the moment and can't remember the specifics. When I get a chance I can get the details.

This ECU really really needs some documentation.
