I'm in the process of installing one of these into an 02 WRX.

I cannot seem to connect to the ECU via the ethernet cable. I have installed the latest firmware etc but when trying to connect via SCal or SMsg, the software seems to scan but not pick up any anything up. I have checked the ECU is getting power and earths are working etc. There is no CEL when I turn on the ignition however.

Am I missing something?

What version of windows are you running and is it 32bit or 64bit?

When you run Scal you should also have SNetServer running, this shows up in the windows task manager in the bottom right with the Syvecs logo, if this is running you can double click it to open the window, its worth checking that it has picked up your network interfaces.

If it hasnt picked up your network interfaces try re-installing the latest software release

Thanks - sorted now - it was a dodgy LAN cable
