Streamed data SData

Post by Chartreux »

Hello,

I want to use my laptop as external memory for dataloging and use "read Streamed data" in SData.
When I connect my ECU (S6 PnP for Subaru MY00) and try : Device / read Streamed data => I have an error message saying "Could not open device for streaming"

I tried with several laptop and get the same message. I've searched in the manual and I can't understand what's happen. Can someone help me to use this function ?

Internal log memory is enough for the moment, but I want to use this function for futur log session. Thanks for help

Not ever used streaming, but I see the folder you've "pointed" to is related to Google drive. I wonder if the "device" is not the ecu but the folder for the streamed data and there's an issue because Google drive has some kind of control over it for syncing purposes?

Just a thought.

Your problem is most likely the same as in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=985

Maybe, but there are no practical solutions.
First I tried to change file directory and avoid google drive file => No effect.

Current Logging parameters in SCal :
- Datalogging Start Engine Speed = 2000 rpm
- Datalogging Start Throttle Position = 20%
- Datalogging Start Vehicle Speed = 0 kph
- Datalogging Stop Engine Speed = 1500 rpm
- Datalogging Stop Throttle Position = 10%
- Datalogging Stop Vehicle Speed = 501 kph (never stopped logging due to this parameter  )
- Datalogging Stop Timeout = 5000ms

By the way, even if my above parameters were not correct, should I have this error ?
I can try putting all the parameters avove set to 0 for trial and see if I can open streamed data... I'll see

In order to stream, logging must be active.

So really you need to have it logging all the time. ie at 0rpm, throttle, etc etc.

Just open up a "gauge" for "loggingactive". When it says YES....you can stream data

Sorry, I see it's not as clearly stated in that link as I thought. As Stevieturbo said, logging on the ECU needs to be active before you can stream data.

- Datalogging Start Throttle Position = 0%
- Datalogging Start Vehicle Speed = 0 kph
- Datalogging Stop Engine Speed = 0 rpm
- Datalogging Stop Throttle Position = 0%
