I am new to this forum. I am dealing the first time with a syvecs system but have arleady some general experiance with aftermarket ECUs.
Topic:
I am setting up a porsche 991 GTS naturally aspirated engine in an 987. This engine has two resonance flaps in the inlet port/manifold. First flap is actuated at 4200rpm, second one in addition at 6300rpm.
Question 1:
Currently the flap acutation is realized over the function "output functions / change light". Change light status1 at 4200rpm, change light status2 at 6300rpm. --> will change light1 output still be active/on when change light2 output will be active? Or asked differently: Will the flap1 remain closed when flap2 will be closed at 6300rpm? (I am asking this because I could not test it yet and whant to prevent unnecessary issues during first run)
Question 2:
I saw that some calibrations are actuating the inlet port flaps over a custom map (rpm and MAP). Are there any advanteges over the pure "rpm strategy"?
comment: I started a second post regarding Porsche 991 returnless low pressure fuel system in the porsche section. If someone has a general advice I am more than happy to hear it
