Cam and crank sensor setup

Post by gaz@gr »

What is the sync scope voltages ? i was told each line was .5v but have seen a pic showing each line is 1 v .

after reading several conflicting ideas i thought i would just ask.

At this time i am running a 60-2 crankwheel and a phase sensor picking up both phases i will post a sync log later .

The car is running car in 360 deg atm , but i am stuggling to get 720

I dont want to keep hassling paul blamire as he helps enough (thanks paul ) i will be on phone later ;-)
will email these over asap but i just after a idea for myself for future issues .

On the sync scope each line is 1v.

But if you are looking at a 5v bipolar in scal as a gauge it squashes +/- 5v to +/-2.5 volts, therefore +1v on an Scal gauge really represents +2v on the sensor, and would read +2v in the sync scope.

So the chances are you haven't been told what you thought you had.

Also check here for some more info on threshold voltages:
