Hey All,
Would the ERL Water flow sensor (80-1200ml/min 1/8 BSP ports) part number 806-428 work with the solaris water injection strategy. I am thinking with this wired to a spare input and assigned to WI the ECU would be able to detect a flow problem and revert to safer boost and ignition levels.
Another plus is they are only £80 from ERL.

Re: ERL water flow sensor
I have just had confirmation from ERL that the flow meter outputs a 0-5v signal proportional to flow, could we use this with the S6?

Re: ERL water flow sensor
Wez,
While the sensor has a 0-5V output that could be connected to the S6 for monitoring purposes there is, at present, no strategy in place that could make use of that signal. Additionally it's a turbine type flow meter, rather than positive displacement, which means that the flow metering is not guaranteed, if the turbine gets sticky it may turn more slowly for the same flow rate. If you want to use the signal for anything more than monitoring it would be wise to have something that cannot mis-read.
Hope this helps,
Pat.
