Possible additions to the software

Post by Wez »

Hiya Guys,

Just had a couple of thoughts on what would be some nice additions to the software and wasnt sure where to post them.

* launch control
- overall enable has 3 options, disabled, launch switch, pit limit switch, could another option be added for just enabled, this would mean launch control was always on and the strategy config would dictate when its active, this means we wouldnt need to wire in a switch and lose an input for it. You could for example say its on below 7mph.

* sensors
- would it be possible to add a sensor setup for diff fluid temp for logging purposes

* water injection
- currently WI only uses output functions, would it be possible to have an input (0-5v) that could monitor flow and the turn off WI if there is an issue. To extend this further you could utilise a different fuel and ignition map when WI is on to take advantage of the extra cooling and meths.

*egt
-have an egt protection strategy so that the ecu can alter fuel or ignition timing when egt reaches a configurable set of thresholds.

What do you think?

Hi,

after digging deep into the S6 Software Suite I came to the same question:

EGT

I found Target adder in Wideband Settings - thats nice but:

ist there an option for safety Features like:

cutting boost target dependant of EGT ?
cutting WG duty cycle dependant of EGT ?

cutting boost target dependant of ACT ?
cutting WG duty cycle dependant of ACT ?

Not at the moment but in a few weeks times when our new firmware gets released it will allow you to create comp maps for Wastegate etc and have a custom map for Wg Target Trim based on say EGT vs ACT

Can error bit assignments and subsequent limps you'd associate with the error offer a reduced power mode...ie a low rpm limit most likely ?

Both of those should be doable for ACT and EGT ?

Not quite the same, but may be an option if it's just for safety shutdown
