MR2 Tacho Not Working

Post by peterguk »

I have seen a couple of threads on this with lots of suggestions and discussion, but no definitive answer.

I have an MR2 with 1ZZ COPs. All up and running except for tacho.

Does anyone have a proven, known solution?

Pull up resistor on PWM output? If so, value?

Sorted.

Not sure why i have to get another owner to unwrap his loom for the answer, but hey ho.

Ryan, your voicemail isn't working. Or you need to change the message so callers don't have any expectation of a callback.

1K pull-up resistor across the output assigned to tacho, and bypass the input resistor on the tacho pcb in the cluster.

Now working perfectly.

Hi Peter,

Sorry your post was missed, Ryan no longer does mapping in the UK as he has moved abroad, which will be why his phone was working.

You should have recieved a reply on here, but sometimes posts get missed,

Regards,

Charlie
