Dash2 display now working with S6

Post by Ryan.g »

Hey Guys

Just though i would share with you some video's of the Dash2 display now working with the S6

With the help from Pat last week, we finally got the Dash2 display working with the Can output from the S6.

Got these units on a group buy for £600 and have been worth every penny. No need to clutter the dash with Defi's any longer. If you are interested in one give us a shout.

Right here are some quick videos of the dash in action.

The First video is just showing some of the features of the dash like indicators, different screens etc.

The second video is of an alarm function. I simulated the oil pressure dropping to flag up the warning message and light. The brightness of the LED's you can change as in 100% they blind you. :D The alarm functions can be flagged to any parameter and a high and low warning can be set.

The last video is me driving along a private road and boosting. I still need to hook up the speed signal and setup the gear indicator. But you get the general idea and can see the shift lights working.

Ignore the lamdba on lift off this is a Vems output issue.

As well as the flickering on the fuel level. I need to slow down the refresh rate on the fuel left % and setup the alarm

Enjoy!

Then you need the Can adapter which is £80 ;)

Its now no longer wonky and have used some stronger carbon to finish the rest of the dash :)

Booked in to give the car a shake down at Abingdon on the 26th with a few others and fully setup the traction control on the Solaris.

I might pop up for this - my car is on the rollers at Charlies on Tuesday, to map it up. Abingdon is about 30 mins from my place, so it'd be ideal for some tweeking :)
Might see you there.
