Can the S7+ run a 996 turbo, but read the can signals from a 997 tcm??

Post by Nitrorocket »

I’m running a Syvecs S7+ on a Porsche 96 turbo, the wiring is exactly the same for the TCM between the 996 and 997. Being that the same system can work on a 997, can I configure my set up to read the signals from 997 TCM if I plug one into the car??

Doesn’t sound very complicated and the system should be able to read both signals so how can I set this up??

I know there is equipment that I could hook up and read and interpret the can signal package between the two TCM‘s.

If any experts out there could help me take a look at this and try to set it up or figure out how it can be done I would love to tackle this.

Anyone know if any progress has been made in this? The ability for the civics to read the Can signals from a 997 TCM and a 996 set up?
