as title, the worksheet layouts are a great feature.

But it would be nice to be able to easily export your saved layouts from computer to computer.

ditto, to make it worse I have no idea where the worksheet files are stored?
even asked a Life Racing distributor and they could not find it either?

They are in the Windows registry. Once you find them, they are easy to transfer but obviously a built in solution would be better.

On phone now, will add detail later

On Syvecs

Open regedit

On mine the workbooks info is found under.

Computer/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Syvecs

Under this Menu you find the various parts of the SSuite software, ie Scal, Smon etc etc

Within each of these menus there will be a folder entitled "Workbook"

These contain the worksheet layouts.

You could either choose to export the entire Syvecs folder with all layouts, or for example go into SView and export only the SView workbook folder.

When you choose to export, it saves this as a registry file you can easily move to another computer, via disk, USB etc etc

To transfer just double click to open the file on the new computer and it will automatically transfer the data to the registry ( it will ask for your permission first )

Job done.

Crap, just found this thread, did a reinstall of the laptop but backed up the syvecs directory. But it seems it was stored in registry  All settings gone.

yea, unless you have exported the workbooks at some point, it'd be hidden away in the registry.

Did you use the same hard drive or a new drive ?

TBH, I've started keeping clone backups of my HDD's, just did both PC and laptop last night. I do use an SSD in both, but a regular HDD is cheap, so keep a backup of each drive on a regular HDD so if something did go tits up, worst case I could re-use the backup drive.
Although I dont make the backups as often as I should.
