Air-Con.

Probably one for Ryan...
How did you get the air-con working with the JZA80? Did you just by-pass the ECU completely and connect what would be the air-con clutch output of the stock ECU to the ECU input feed from the air-con switch? If so does the fact that you've not got the means of offsetting the engine speed by a little at idle not cause a problem, or does the closed loop just sort this out automatically by adding a little extra duty?
Would it be possible to route feed for the switch from something like the windscreen heater output (unlikely to be used in a road car application) and just ensure that it only turns on when the coolant temp and revs are within certain conditions? This way it would be possible to auto turn off over say 5000rpm, similar to how the stock ECU turns it off when above 80% throttle?
Cheers,
Tony
