Re: Fuel pump PWM strategy
How are you guys actually setting the regulator itself up in this scenario then? Idle with guessed lowish duty, set reg at target as normal? Do you try to find the lowest duty possible + tightest reg combo that you can use at idle, so that the pressure comes up faster with increased duty (tight reg)...

Look for one in a scrappers from a mk4 or 5 Vauxhall Astra, both of those are "normal", and plentiful

Re: Inputs over canbus? Cockpit expander
Yeah i'm starting to see that an upgrade to an S8 down the line is in my future too! That's interesting Tim, I've got the version 1.93.5 firmware which I thought was the newest one? I shall have to revisit that as it would be a nice addition the GPS/Yaw/G jobby At least any expansion modules are sti...

Re: Inputs over canbus? Cockpit expander
I was a bit disappointed to find that once you have the slave link hooked up (in my case I got the X10 to expand my S6GP a bit) you lose all hopes of any input CAN messages on the 2nd CAN. Seemingly can't use anything else with it now the slave is on, so I couldn't even use the Syvecs/Life GPS modul...

Re: Ignition Time Delay Setting?
If it's just during the transient event and is actually in the retard direction then I really doubt you would cause any harm to the engine with it if it is a true timing variation, in fact a lot of ecu's allow you to do just this to try to allow you to reduce tip in knock. I think it will actually b...

Re: Ignition Time Delay Setting?
Yeah Motec and Link have that setting, probably others too. I think you effectively just "bake it in" to the main table on ecu's that don't have it, which might not be exactly what you wanted to hear, and not really all that correct in reality. You could maybe use the individual cylinder t...
