Re: Speed

Just to add to this old thread. On my vehicle with 235/40R18 tyres, and 45 tooth trigger wheels with 15 teeth per reading, I need to set circumference to 3.190m, instead of the expected 2.026m that I measured on the ground. Seems very odd ? I've only 11 teeth and 8 teeth F/R, I use 1 tooth per read...

Re: 0-5v OUTPUT

Or as said, if you wired a pullup resistor across the output to 5v that would allow you to effectively create a 0-5v on that output line although pretty sure it would end up 5v to 0v with 0 to 100% duty rather than 0v to 5v with 0 to 100% duty. Another couple of threads here http://www.syvecs.com/fo...

Re: 0-5v OUTPUT

SSR will switch as fast as you tell it to switch really. No reason they cant do a few thousand Hz without difficulty, Syvecs offers up to 10kHz output on the fuel pump outputs and control for up to 3 pumps Some people are using them already to drive various motors. I did buy a couple myself, but it ...

Re: 0-5v OUTPUT

A single pump that large would be very uncommon ? What sort is it ? Is the controller a DIY thing or supplied by pump maker ? Would the PWM output option for controlling a fuel pump be usable ? Some people just seem to hook this up to a solid state relay to drive the heavy load. Although with a pull...

Re: gear cut/shift setup H pattern using strain gage gear knob

Including the strain gauge (shear beam load cell would be best) you really would need a gear position sensor. With a H pattern you would need varying cut times per gear as the cut times inline with the gates ie 1-2, 3-4, & 5-6 etc will vary across the gate (2-3) - (4-5). As mentioned you will n...

Re: Launch control

The trouble with sprints is every standing start counts so i can't faff around with zero boost and crap acceleration. If anyone has any settings they could share I'd appreciate it. I'm at Northampton tomorrow having the paddles configured so that's a good chance to get settings input as i cant tune...

Re: gear cut/shift setup H pattern using strain gage gear knob

Again with it being an H pattern, you'll be doing both motions, but both for upshifts. So I dont see how a 2.5v load cell or other type would work that gives a Hi/Low signal for one direction or the other could easily work for this. If it can be done, I'm all ears though as would be curious. Mine is...

Re: gear cut/shift setup H pattern using strain gage gear knob

It was a couple of years ago I bought mine from SQS. Dont recall there being any difficulty contacting them, and it was quick to arrive. I'm not aware of anywhere else selling such a thing. For an upshift cut, as far as I know it wants to see a rising voltage, so a load cell that will go up/down.......

Re: Launch control

Again it will be entirely up to your tuner.

Assuming there are no restrictions on your ecu in terms of functionality, you can make it do pretty much anything you'd ever want it to for launch, and give you some varying options via the calibration switches.
