Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting
Would be interesting to see with 2 sensors what pressure in the chamber is like there ? Or do you think they'd pretty much mirror each other ? You mean the T & L plug locations? if so those are basically the same despite having the T hole (very small opening to chamber) and L hole being full si...

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting
edit, notations on my first pic pic probably didnt make so much sense, so have amended it here crank ref syvecs2.jpg Stevie did a good job above. Here I same idea of logging the crank wheel I made up and a Syvecs pressure sensor (of appropriate range) to do a non running or roughly cranking speed e...

Re: EGT probes
Little update: *Diesel* Having a talk one day (non automotive) with a few 'mates' led to talk of Pyro probes and how they don't last in certain applications especially when pre turbo. I listened for a long time, and one of them asked me a question, the next day I brought in a few of mine. Bloke fitt...

Got a new scale available so non important ranges can be compressed, in this case 0-4k rpm

Re: NTK L2H2 New Linearisation
A few hundred iterations later you can get it to this level of precision, these are LZA09 sensors to lab grade NTK reference.

Re: NTK L2H2 New Linearisation
Did a batch of varying NTK consumer grade sensors and thought would put this up showing the process some more for those interested.

Re: EGT probes
Damage produced in less than one minute ? Well yes....I'd say less than a second or so lol Presumably their tests are on a static low speed motor ? Their test is 5000rpm constant speed, pretty good test actually. They use rotary encoder pressure transducers in cylinder along with acceleration senso...

Re: EGT probes
Found another great use for my fast response thermocouples, very fine knock/combustion control. Still doing the validation tests, but so far there seems to be one situation I have found where they have the ability to determine this specifically where there are many smaller than normal knock severity...
