yeah I was thinking smearing the side rather than the tip and rotate it gently in to allow excess to be pushed out the data you get will be interesting with and without WI, might help optimise WI volume. and also will be interesting if you can get a decent AFR character curve out of them (CHT v AFR)...

Slightly off topic, have you measured ODs of various thermal couple sheaths and if so what is the typical tolerance? - do you think 100% water preturbo would cause more or less compressor wheel damage? What have you learnt the key aspects to prevent compressor damage?
