Re: Best way to "cut" revs for idle with throttle jacked open?

Hi Mark, If I understand you correctly it seems that you are running a Cable actuated Throttle. You are jacking it open continuously to allow for ALS when activated but this jacked open throttle situation is more or less fixed so gives high revs with "normal" timing. Is this correct? If th...

Re: Best way to "cut" revs for idle with throttle jacked open?

Hi Mark, Shouldn't you be using Fuel Cut to keep revs under control? On the other hand..... If revs are too low so is airflow through the engine and that means the turbo is not going to spool really good anyways. In my opinion it's always a trade off. I would think introducing Fuel Cut to keep revs ...

Re: Overrun Fuel Cut

^^^ Yes, you are correct. It would be nice indeed to have a individual toggle based on Cal. switch position to Enable/Disable Overrun Fuelcut.

Cheers,

Jasper.

Re: Setting up air con

Hi Rob, Depending on your car you will have 2 signals per OE arrangement. You will have a AirCon Switch and an AirCon Relay signal. The AirCon switch is the request signal coming from the A/C Switch inside the car. The AirCon Relay signal is the OUTPUT signal controlling the actual A/C Clutch. The s...

Re: How to wire AVCS actuator?

Hi Tim,

For AVCS solenoids having the Schottky diodes soldered inline with heatshrink over them will work just fine.

Overrun Fuel Cut

I think it would be good to ADD one selector in the Closed Throttle Detection where PPS instead of TPS can be selected. TPS works but can be a bit tricky on DBW cars as the IDLE, etc. is all being controlled by the Butterfly. In my opinion going off PPS in this case would be better and certainly eas...

Re: Gear Cut/Blip on H-Pattern gearbox

Just found the function as I more or less described is already implemented in almost the same way in the S8
Perhaps something to port over to the S6 to make more people happy ;)

Cheers,

Jasper.

Re: new to all this!

Hi there, From my firsthand experience although not a Supra. Don't be fooled by the hype. Whilst Alloy pulleys look nice and are light they wear really quick making new belts squeel when just replaced so you end up changing the pulley AGAIN. People advertise it as gaining response due to low weight ...

Gear Cut/Blip on H-Pattern gearbox

All, I have been thinking of a way to do a VERY simple implementation of Gear Cut/Blip on an H-Pattern gearbox. At the moment there is a seperate Gear Cut Request and a seperate Gear Blip Request. This all works well on Sequential boxes where you can employ a proper load cell which gives for easy re...
