yeah ok, that makes sense that the app is going to access the custom can frames so its not really a replacement for streaming data but could be set up for most of what I'd realistically need.
I might look into writing that script, that would be great if I could automate SData.

App + Bluetooth versus Windows tablet
I'm looking at using a windows based tablet and wifi for both extending my logging memory via stream to the tablet, and viewing various parameters (SMon), versus using the Bluetooth module with an android app. The android app and Bluetooth is obviously more aesthetically pleasing so far as gauge dat...

Re: odd wideband behaviour
Within an ecu compartment in the engine bay. Yeah unfortunately the wires have to get bent back on themselves to make it all fit.

Re: odd wideband behaviour
I don't think the failure point of the potted connection in my case is the terminals, the thickness of the potted section is far to long for me to mechanical manipulate the wire through it, the failure point must be within ~2mm of the surface of the potted section. After digging up old papers on the...

Re: odd wideband behaviour
So I'm pretty confident I've found the issue. I unplugged sensors that "stopped" working and plugged them into my aem gauge and they worked just fine. Which led me to fault finding closer to the ecu and surprise surprise I have poor continuity within the potted pnp male ecu socket. I say s...

Re: odd wideband behaviour
what is the general consensus on denso sensors in aftermarket applications?
my s6+ could be SB modified for NTK, but only 1x, where as denso could be 2x.

Re: odd wideband behaviour
Bosch LSU's remind me of Corona Virus, not much good you can say about either of them....... they are cheap though  there is one good thing about covid19, my beer keg and the car are both in the garage and since the outbreak I've spent a lot more time with both. but unfortunately as they...

Re: odd wideband behaviour
I've ordered some thermocouple bits and pieces to log both the egt and the pipe surface temperature at the wideband install location. will be interesting to see what the environment is like at cold start. Will be very interested in the results of this - please share if you're willing :) will do. if...

Re: odd wideband behaviour
there is possibly a QA/QC component on bosch's part. ntk make lsu 4.9 direct replacement sensors to the exact same specification as bosch, maybe they even come from the same factory (idk), yet I hear reports of people getting better life out of ntk boxed sensors compare to the bosch, particularly at...
