Re: CAN termination

SDM-X00 is my shorthand for SDM-300, SDM-500 and SDM-700, those being the range of Plex dashes that are compatible with CAN running a Slave Link :)

Re: Overrun fuel cutoff - not happening!

Stevie, thanks for confirming you are seeing 100% trqFuelSev in your logs. With regard to whether fuelFinalPri should drop to 0, that is a matter of classification. If we think about the steps taken to get to fuelFinalPri1, from the ECU's perspective it does not have control over any of it (well, OK...

Re: "patch upload" without restart possible?

Gents, the live changes will persist until powered off. Unplugging the laptop is fine. Just make sure you save a copy on the lappy in case the car is powered off for some reason, then you have a copy and can flash it later. Blue items are *generally* not things you would adjust on a running engine. ...

Re: CAN termination

X10: is on its own CAN link as posted above F88 > X10 Consider for a moment : An S6 does not have a second CAN bus..... The X10 may be used with an S6.... The SDM-X00 may be attached to the S6<>X10 link.... I'll leave it up to the imagination of others to infer what the consequences of the above ar...

Re: Output to AFR gauge - possible / any ideas on how

Tim, IGN outputs will be fine for this purpose. The warning is there for those people who like to connect non-transistor coils directly and then blow up the outputs. I've used IGN outputs numerous times to simulate a 0-5V analogue output. You can source and sink a couple of hundred milliamps which i...

Re: Overrun fuel cutoff - not happening!

Gents, been away for a few days, will get a chance to look at this properly in the next day or two, but one thing that you can check in the meantime is trqFuelSev - something in the back of my mind is telling me that ORFC is applied using fuel-based torque limiting, so you would expect to see trqFue...

Re: CAN termination

I'll not presume to bore everyone with the full spec, from Bosch, as to the correct termination of a CAN bus, nor the permissible stub length etc.... what I will state is that a CAN bus needs to be terminated at both ends. Given that the S* ECUs are terminated, they must be at one end, they cannot b...

Re: Bosch LSU 4.9 sensors dropping like flies

It would have been good to see datalogs of these failures, in particular it would be good to see what the LSU temperature reading was and also the heater drive. If you do have that sort of log then I'de be interested to have a look. If you are concerned about destroying another sensor, you could con...

Re: Output to AFR gauge - possible / any ideas on how

You can create an output based on the lam1 reading. For example you could assign lam1 to the X axis for Basic PWM 01. Then you could put entries into the table which move the gauge to the correct point, as a function of the lambda reading. The sequence, then, is to assign an analogue input connected...

Re: Overrun fuel cutoff - not happening!

Overrun fuel cut off happens if the engine speed is over the Engine Speed threshold, and it remains cut off until such a time as the RPM drops below Engine Speed minus Hysteresis. So if your threshold is 3k and you are at 2999 then you will not get cut, even though you are above the reinstate RPM. Y...
