Wiring led from ecu output - constantly dim

Long story short I stripped the guts from a shift light because it was inaccurate and connected it directly to the ecu, obviously the internals of the ecu allow some current to flow in the off state, enough to make the led dim constantly. Shift light works as expected at correct rpm. What can I do t...

Re: Bosch 2-wire TBV settings

I never noticed this thread had carried on, however I find it interesting about installing diodes on the idle valves if it makes them perform better. I use 3 wire valves, so would I use 2 diodes in reverse bias from the 12v feed to each of the pwm controls from the ecu? I have 2 valves in parralel t...

Re: Any possibility of Real Dash support?

Does anyone have the knowledge to actually make this happen? Or is it a case of requiring Syvecs to help? Surely it's just a case of collaborating with real dash to let it know where to look for data, be it a canbus adaptor, Bluetooth, rs232 or the pc lan interface? I'm sure there is more deep down ...

Re: Info / help

Sounds like you are mixing up launch control with flat foot shifting. Your car is obviously setup for launch control but the flat foot shifting is done through a gear cut request, which is setup by whoever does the calibrating for you

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting

Yeh I understand the processing power, 100mhz as an example does make the trigger pickup seem walk in the park material!

I am setting up my crank pickup sensor today, fabricating a bracket should be fun, but looking forward to escaping that stock pickup!

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting

That what I was thinking, I never noticed before as I have never really looked into engine configuration too much, but mine is set to ignore cam after 720, on stock dizzy pickup 24teeth and single cam tooth. Its always been OK, just got me curious. I did assume the engine would only need to know its...

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting

Definitely would be useful in tuning!

In the engine configuration where the option - ignore cam after 720 sync (or however it is worded) it says it is advised against on keyed by single cam, why is this?

Thanks

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting

That's pretty cool! I wonder if any engines have actually running pressure sensors, mega high pressure and heat but would be interesting to see!

Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting

Thanks for the replies! Good info as always! I am going to use the stock dizzy for cam phase, which is already setup, so hopefully changing to the 36-1 should be straight forward. Steve what engine do you have, and is that cylinder pressure under cranking in your log? What kind of sensor detects tha...
