Re: Gear Blip Settings Info

Hi mate, I am no automotive electrician. I am an electrician by trade, but it's alot different! I know enough about electronics to get me by tho. I don't think you will be able to get away without adding relays or switches to your setup, if the current ones are 12v then you can use them to trigger s...

Re: Gear Blip Settings Info

Just to add, I am actually using a relay for the brake switch, using the brake light 12v to power the coil, it was difficult enough adding a clutch switch so decided this was the easier option the the brake pedal already having a switch on it.

Re: Gear Blip Settings Info

You can set both cut and blip to the clutch switch, and set the tps load so it knows if you are off throttle. I set mine to 2 percent so it blips when I am off throttle and cuts when on throttle This is usually OK as when I upshift I am still coming off the throttle however sometimes I am completely...

Re: Inputs over canbus? Cockpit expander

Is it a firmware thing? Or an actual hardware issue with the s6? I assumed because it was used in pnp kits that it would be possible, but assumptions get you no where haha

Re: Inputs over canbus? Cockpit expander

Just bringing this back to life as i can't help wanting to play around, I noticed someone mentioned this in another thread and it sounded pretty interesting. https://www.ecumaster.co.uk/can-switchboard Has anyone used one before? To keep it cheap I'd want to avoid buying the USB to can tool for prog...

Gear Blip Settings Info

I have 2 large bypass valves installed for antilag, I decided to see if they flow enough air for a gear blip and they do. I have made a switch arrangement so i get my usual gear cut with the clutch alone, and a gear blip request when i am on the brake and clutch Just after some terminology translati...

Re: Wiring led from ecu output - constantly dim

I was actually going to try throwing a 1k resistor in parallel with the led just to see if that would pull it away enough, I know the current wil be negligible, I have some other values I could try too. I can do it inside the shift light as stated I have gutted the inside. I actually have another sh...

Re: Wiring led from ecu output - constantly dim

Thanks Tim
I have some cheap Chinese 20a solid state relays, bit large physically but I guess it would save me buying anything else!

Re: Wiring led from ecu output - constantly dim

Would a transistor work? Using the ecu ground to trigger the gate? If so what transistor would be best?

Re: Wiring led from ecu output - constantly dim

Thanks for the reply.
I thought about putting it through a small solid state relay actually, probably the only way to fix it!
Thanks
