Re: 36-1 Trigger wheel fitting
Never followed up on this but I got the crank sensor working perfectly, I tested the timing with a light on the old setup (stock Toyota) and for some reason it was bouncing all over up to 5 degrees + - of the 10 degrees btdc its supposed to be at. I swapped to the new pickup and it fired right up, m...

Re: Syvecs Question
I am no expert drag racer or anything. However I can comfortably say that the capabilities of Syvecs with regards to building any car for drag racing will be bottle necked by the car setup and driver capabilities all day long. Some of the fastest drag and rolling race cars in the world have done so ...

Re: IGN outputs for led
My transistor and resistor choice was my main concern
Thanks
Thanks

Re: IGN outputs for led
Has anyone ever used a transistor off the ignition output to get a bit more switching power? I was considering using a 2n2222a, 1k resistor in series with the ignition output to the base of the transistor and switching the ground to have some high current leds, about 100ma or so. Transistor is good ...

Re: IGN outputs for led
Haha that is true! I have a shift light which I like, it was always inaccurate (cheap ebay 15 quid job) so I gutted it and just used a spare ecu output to trigger instead, then decided I'd like to add another led as a second stage, that's where this came from, so really, I have a fully programmable ...

Re: IGN outputs for led
Thanks Tim
They were about 4 pound for 50 off ebay haha, it said ultra bright, I guess it didn't lie!

Re: IGN outputs for led
I would of thought 3 or 4 of these would be OK on one output with 470 resistors?

Re: IGN outputs for led
Pretty pleased actually I hooked up a white led with a 470ohm resistor and it worked fine and was much brighter than I expected considering the resistor size. My ecu is in the boot so I used a long length of wire to simulate any voltage drop too https://i.ibb.co/FmDpHK7/IMG-20200418-133806.jpg https...

Re: IGN outputs for led
I don't have any resistors that low, I'll play around but use what I have and see what we get to start with
