Re: BOSCH LSU 4.9 wiring /cable size recommendation

Ed, All six wires from the LSU are used on the S6GPPlus : IVBAT to Heater + LAM1HTR to Heater - LAM1A to Vs (UN) [Nernst voltage] LAM1B to Ip (IP) [Ion Pump] LAM1C to CalR (IA) [Cal Trim] LAM1D to Vs/Ip (VM) [Virtual Ground] The Cal resistor is used on the S6GPPlus, the circuit implementation is inc...

Re: Colours in table

CT9A, Turn off Delta Hotspots, then the changes will not affect the colour of the map, it just stays green :) You may the think "oh, but which cells have changed?"... if you're used to using SCal (read: don't ever use the mouse) the a quick O-D will flip to Delta view and you will see whic...

Re: Output pin names, have they changed?

A couple of things.... 1) Yes, PWM1-8 were re-named as FUEL9-16, this happened when the S6 firmware was enhanced to allow more than 8 injectors and it was simplest to just rename them all - that way you can still choose (max 12 assigned at the mo). This is also more consistent with the S8 naming con...

Re: BOSCH 028851132466 / NTK L1H1

The NTK UEGO sensor consists of two Nernst cells, one sensing cell and one ion pumping cell. The theory of operation is that one aims to maintain a stoichiometric reading by pumping ions into or out of the sensing cell using the ion pump cell. The amount of ion pumping is controlled by the current s...

Re: Traction Control Menu - unavailable.

This is normal behaviour. When SCal generates a new file it will do so without any flags set. Historically, Traction Control was not a "standard" feature and hence has to be enabled by the "T" flag. All ECUs are supplied with the "T" flag set so when talking to a real E...

Re: Bosch LSU 4.9 Lambda Sensor

Hello Tim! A couple of quick notes on LSU control on S6GPPlus... There are two implementations of the heater control depending on which firmware your S6GPPlus is running. Both require that you assign the Lambda sensor input to Slave Analogue 8, so you should do that regardless. Next, there are two v...

Re: Crank setup

Tim, The ECU is NOT supposed to run in 360 sync, so there is no sync option for it - the only exception is for engines that cannot run in 720 like a Wankel engine, but you have an Otto motor. This means that you must choose a pattern that will give 720 sync (like single gap single cam) and you must ...

Re: Change light / Knock warning control output?

Stevie is right, at the moment there is no logic in the strategy code to combine more than one function onto an output, at least not for these functions. You can of course use multiple pins and connect them to the same light, they are open drain and will OR together, but we should really have a comb...
