There's a pretty good Syvecs YouTube training video for this :geek:

Re: Cal switch scramble button

resistive CAL switches will be OK; the standard Syvecs 8 way was always a diode type unless they changed it which I think unlikely. 12 way switches are generally resistive types

Re: Cal switch scramble button

If it is a standard 8way Syvecs CAL switch it uses diodes to provide 0.65V(ish) steps, and relies on the 3k pullup internal to the ECU to bias the diodes and get the voltage steps. If you short the ECU input to 5V it will indeed go to CAL8...but you will put 5V directly across the series diodes betw...

Re: Exhaust valves won't stay closed bug

The valve has certain characteristics that we don't know as we're not familiar with the car. The ECU can probably control it if the characteristics are known. Or the characteristics of the valve are something that the ecu hardware can't control so it needs an external controller of some sorts. Botto...

Don't think you answered this. if the "cut" was using a kill switch, there is a good chance you fried the ECU.

Re: Launch Control Settings

I'm not sure how you could use the one analogue sensor to trigger the two different functions, but i would expect a pressure sensor would be ideal for using as a variable trigger point on something like a clutch. You would need to do some testing to map the line pressure to the clutch clamping rate...

Re: Launch Control Settings

To make the launch strategy perfect, you really want the launch switch activating at the clutch bite point further down the pedal, but as i share the switch for both launch and gear cut strategy, it needs to be at the top, otherwise the torque would be introduced too soon on flat shifts and you wou...

Re: S7-I and S7Plus Can1 Fixed Datastream - DBC

The file reads OK into Kvaser Database Editor so it is probably something in the signals section that the AIM software doesn't like - perhaps one to take up with AIM since that error message isn't very helpful?

Re: Frequency inputs

Canbus not fast enough to transmit enough voltage samples to allow a meaningful analysis of the speed sensor signal.
