Can I re-raise this question please? I have a similar situation.
Cheers

Re: Hardware Calibration Switch
So, having looked through the manual (RTFM....), I see that the hardware switch actually uses a diode chain. Words I can type, but don't truly understand... However, reading further, I see that the ECU can be programmed with threshold voltages, which I presume I can find by connecting to the Syvecs. ...

Hardware Calibration Switch
I'm working on a little project for my track car, and as part of my plans, I want to replace the hardware calibration switch with an output from an Arduino. I figured that the hardware switch was just a resistor ladder type arrangement, but having had a little play last night, I'm not so sure. Can a...

Re: Tacho Output
So, the tacho output still isn't working and I was wondering, can the tacho output be tested using the 'Output Testing' function when the engine is off? I figured (and I could be wrong) that when I go into the Output Testing menu and locate the PWM output tests, it shows me 8 outputs. My tacho is su...

Re: MR2 - S6 – single coil conversion
Sorry for the thread-jack, but this is exactly the issue I have found on my MR2 with a Syvecs ECU. I seem to have a resistor between pins 21 and 14 (PWM-6) and then the output goes off to my Tacho (this is the pull up part from what I understand as pin 21 is 12v Live). The tacho stopped working, but...

Re: MR2 Misfire
It seems that my fuel pressure regulator had worked loose. I upped the pressure, and the misfire has gone

Re: MR2 Misfire
Sorry, I didn't get notified of your response. Subscribed to the thread now... The only error that is showing on the ECU is the MAP sensor out of range error. I clear the error, but it comes back the next time I start the engine. Is the MAP sensor likely to be a rebranded GM sensor (they look the sa...

MR2 Misfire
Morning All, I've recently bought an MR2 with a S6 ECU and it seems to be having misfiring issues. It has the 1zz-fe COP system, and I have checked the resistance of the coils, and the condition of the plugs. The coils all read between 12-17 kOhms when warm. The misfire only happens when the engine ...

Re: Tacho Output Problems
So, with the lack of response, I decided to tap the wire and send it to the data logger. I now have a dead tacho altogether, though the ECU is aware of the rpm. It's a pink wire on the Mr2 that I tapped. Could I have damaged anything? My car is also misfiring really badly (not related). Can't see an...

Tacho Output
I checked my wiring, and the tacho output wire is connected to the main car loom. I'm not sure where it goes to, but I wondered, can I tap into that wire and take it to my external data logger without having an adverse effect on whatever else it might be connected to?
