Re: Syvecs bug report

Sure, I am willing to accept that it is my misunderstanding :)

However, why would setting the filter on the crank sensor effect the cam sensor reading?
It also didn't seem to change how the crank sensor signal looked when viewing the sync log.

Syvecs bug report

Is there a place for reporting bugs? I found a strange issue in the firmware which I have interpreted as a bug, however I could just be misunderstanding the problem. I was trying to get my crank and cam signals optimised and setting thresholds. Everything was working and I thought I would switch on ...

Re: Closed loop fuel pump setup

Michael, I hadn't thought of it that way, my thinking was that with the pumps working on a pwm then they are not pushing so much fuel to the engine and so you won't be getting lots of heated fuel back to the swirl pot. This should reduce the fuel temperature, this was one of the main reason for me a...

Re: Closed loop fuel pump setup

Pavlo, I had the same problem with the lift pump not priming and I decided it would be nice to have the lift pump setup with pwm control as well as the main pumps. So I have a dual channel h-bridge, one channel driving the lift pump and the other the main pump. Then I use a single pwm output from th...

Re: Closed loop fuel pump setup

Pavlo, Thanks for you help on this, I have mine all setup now. I kept the fpr and just have an open loop setup driving both lift pump and one of my 044's. The other 004 is just on a relay and comes in at a set injector duty. It all works great and I can't believe how quiet the pumps are now, basical...

Canbus specifications

I have some questions regarding the canbus output on the syvecs, basically I am in the middle of writing a raspberry pi application so I can integrate it with the syvecs via canbus. Can someone help me please? 1 - what is the link speed, this is not the frame frequency but the overarching link speed...

Re: Closed loop fuel pump setup

Thanks again, I had already ordered something similar: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111008002912?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3495wt_1161 Same thing I think and will drive my two pumps seperately. I'll do as you said and box it in a metal box and bolt the fets to the side f...

Re: Closed loop fuel pump setup

Thanks Pavlo, The only concern with that approach is that you might get a strange relative fuel measurement, maybe? I want to see if the closed loop fuel pump control will work the way I am hoping it will and allow me to ditch the fpr and the return line, while having much quieter fuel pumps which a...

Closed loop fuel pump setup

I'm sure others are now thinking of taking advantage of the new firmware which has closed loop fuel pump control. So I wanted to do the same, am I right in thinking that I can ditch my fpr and install a fuel pump speed controller? Has anyone used this before and if so what fuel pump controller have ...
