Re: Output Current Limits

how does one size the diode for the application? does it have to be rated to the same current as the load? im talking for fly-back protection for solid state relays, and my pdu. cheers :) ive killed 2 ssr's trying to pwm them to do a fan.... i have read they need a "diode" if connected to...

Re: 2008 Subaru does not start

That output just seems to be starter motor enable....which doesnt necessarily mean it is connected directly to the starter motor relay. Just that it is one signal to allow it to operate. Presumable this goes to another control box...as does the clutch switch, as may do the push button start switch, ...

Re: Can anybody identify this MAP sensor?

Only way to be sure is always test. And always test.

presumably key on engine off the sensor was reading approx atmospheric ? ie 1000mbar ?

What was it around idle ? or on the overrun ?

Re: Can anybody identify this MAP sensor?

Whoever tuned it originally should have picked up that the MAP sensor was giving odd readings.... However at the same time, given it is an unknown sensor, it could have been something silly like say a 0-100psi sensor so it's output voltage in the range you would realistically be using as a MAP senso...

Re: Can anybody identify this MAP sensor?

I have a lot of pressure gauges and compressor with regulator. I should be able to use that. Just need a 5v stable power supply. Or I guess I could leave it connected to the car and plot them at different pressures there. Cheers mate. Read the output voltages on SCal or Smon with it wired as it is ...

Re: Can anybody identify this MAP sensor?

At this stage, you really want to manually confirm if the sensor is calibrated correctly now. Sealey VS403 or Mityvac MV8500 or similar will allow you to do that Yes it's more money, but if you can at least prove the current calibration is correct, it will mean when you wire it correctly you will no...

Re: Can anybody identify this MAP sensor?

And again.....you keep saying this was running off 3v ? That cannot be the case as nowhere does the ecu output 3v for such a purpose. Pin 58 is the input signal from the MAP sensor to the ecu. Exactly which pin on that sensor is it wired to ( in fact, all 3 pins )? Are you 100% sure it is wired inco...

Re: 2008 Subaru does not start

I've never done one with a Syvecs, but I did have issue with another brand ecu and keyless start. ( JDM model ) I did query Pat about the Syvecs version but at the time the customer didnt want to spend that sort of money. Some comments from the email query at the time in case they are relevant. &quo...

Re: 2008 Subaru does not start

Some info might help.

When you say nothing, what do you mean ?

No power, no starter, no engine, no what ?
