Re: cal switching
Assuming you have the Syvecs cal switch with red/white/black wires, then... red wire to 5v regulated black to analogue gound The pin you've used is in the same group as one of my cal switches(an7), so should work unless the pnp version is different. After you've connected it up, power the ecu up and...

Re: Logging
Whilst on the topic of logging, in addition to logging to onboard memory, would it be possible to also realtime log to file on a laptop whilst one is connected, allowing for longer logging times; and perhaps realtime graphing straight to Sview? Thanks, Jezz. Is there any likelyhood of this happenin...

Re: 4G63 Crank/Cam trigger?
Thanks again Pat, it makes lots of sense. I had a look at a calibration and the Manual Cam Checklist over the weekend and it did seem to be what I was looking for. You wouldn't happen to have the relevant numbers handy for the 4G cam trigger, would you? I'll be using a conventional trigger disc, rat...

Re: 4G63 Crank/Cam trigger?
Yes, thanks Pat that helps a lot. :) I didn't realise the FPGA is flashable, i thought it was hardware. I'm pretty sure my FPGA version is 2.15 as i remember checking a while back after reading the thread i linked before. I shall use a 36-1 trigger then, any recommendations for a suitable sensor? I ...

Re: 4G63 Crank/Cam trigger?
Thanks Ryan. It's a stroked/forged 4G. The thing that concerns me about the stock setup, assuming my S6 is capable, is that there are only 2 pulses per crank rev. Which doesn't sound the best? http://www.solaris-ecs.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=77&p=325&hilit=4g63#p325 The OE cam sens...

4G63 Crank/Cam trigger?
Hi, I'm in the process of putting a 4G somewhere it shouldn't be, and am wondering what's the best way to deal with the crank trigger? I see the new S6 firmware has capability for the OE 4G crank and cam sensor, but is my S6 capable of handling this trigger? I recall reading that only the later FPGA...

Re: Knock Warning Output Behaviour?
When I first posted I was running 1.6.1, I've migrated to 1.9.1 and it's not done it since. Whether it's coincidence or not I'm unsure. :? But yes you'd expect it to illuminate once the timing had been pulled by the threshold, then go out again once cleared. If I see it again, I'll report back. Chee...

Re: 25036751-GM IAT Sensor Calibration
Thanks for doing that. :) It will be interesting to see if your choice of pull-up is right. I have this sensor, though I created a curve manually using a digital thermometer. However I feel it's wrong at the higher end of the scale, I'm seeing higher IATs than expected, if your calibration is right ...

Re: Evo 2 up and running !! First Evo on Solaris
Have you got any pictures/details of the crank trigger and sensor setup that you'd be willing to post?
I'm putting a 4G63 (E6) into my S13 which is a fair old project, so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Traction control without lateral G or steering angle
This one... ~£24 http://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=36&products_id=95&osCsid=c265a10f7e18003f0b63336a0529151e It's a 3.3v device but I'm supplying it directly from the Solaris 5v sensor supply, it seems happy enough and the data sheet suggests that it can handle u...
