Engine stall on declutch
Hi guys Car is nicely mapped now. Only one issue is that if i declutch and let the revs drop from anything more than around 2krpm, the engine will stall. Makes it a complete pain in traffic on the rare occasion i use it for such things. Which areas of the cal should i be looking at to try and get th...

Re: firing order
Solved:
The ecu can run either in sequence or firing order using the firing order in combination with the i/o settings for the ign outputs.
I should have used the search button better in the firat place!!

firing order
Hi Guys, A simple question: what is the correct way to wire up ignition coils, when wired direct to the Syvecs? My firing order table is as follows: Ign Output: 1 2 3 4 5 6 Firing Order: 1 5 3 6 2 4 Does the syvecs fire the ign outputs in sequence and I need to wire each output to the firing order? ...

Re: Any issues with this SyncLog?
Well I swapped the ignitors over, cleaned my spark plugs off and it fired up almost straight away. It died after a couple seconds, and will misfire when I try to restart but I would believe this is down to a fuel heavy map now. I would like to gradually add in fuel from 0 until it starts and runs ok...

Re: Any issues with this SyncLog?
I would use a multimeter and Output Testing - just set the base state for the ignition you're checking to be on, and make sure the meter shows 5V at the coilpack. No need to run the engine and all nice and easy and safe. Will check this weekend for this. I have the spare igniter at home now too, wh...

Re: Any issues with this SyncLog?
Update: No spark confirmed - spark plugs (brand new) were black from over fueling, cleaned and dried and refit for a few seconds cranking and they were wet again with fuel - so fuel injection confirmed Fuel Injection confirmed - OK as above good spark plug checked for spark and nothing. I believe i...

Re: Any issues with this SyncLog?
Hi Tim,
I understand now, in this case, perfect!
My plan is indeed the R8 coils, or possibly Bentley coils, for work reasons, so it seems a simple enough conversion.
