If i look at error messages, i get this: http://www.sbits.net/pics/syvecs_1.jpg If i dismiss to clear the messages, they return. However, in the live data screen, i get this: http://www.sbits.net/pics/syvecs_2.jpg So there are errors for MAP, battery and TPS Yet in live data MAP value is correct, TP...

1K pull-up resistor across the output assigned to tacho, and bypass the input resistor on the tacho pcb in the cluster.

Not sure why i have to get another owner to unwrap his loom for the answer, but hey ho.
Ryan, your voicemail isn't working. Or you need to change the message so callers don't have any expectation of a callback.

I have seen a couple of threads on this with lots of suggestions and discussion, but no definitive answer.
I have an MR2 with 1ZZ COPs. All up and running except for tacho.
Does anyone have a proven, known solution?
Pull up resistor on PWM output? If so, value?
